Cymatics - Healing Powers of Sound
Cymatics comes from the Greek word “Cyma” which means wave. Cymatics is the study of sound and vibration made visible. Cymatics helps us to visualize sound, it’s a chance to visualize sound waves and see what they look like when seen through physical form and expressed through matter. Cymatics demonstrates beautifully how sound influences matter and our cellular internal biology.
The human body is made up of roughly 60% to 75% water. Water is a strong conductor of sound. Now imagine how sound affects your “inner body”. Sound can assist in rearranging dissonant or “out of harmony” energy patterns in the body, a.k.a. dis-ease and move them into patterns of a natural state of order and coherence. How amazing is that.

Hans Jenny, a Swiss medical doctor was a pioneer in the field of Cymatics. Throughout the 1960’s up until his death in 1972. Dr. Jenny worked extensively documenting Cymatic phenomena. He also documented his experiments in 16mm films which have since been re-released on DVD entitled Cymatic SoundScapes: Bringing Matter to Life with Sound.
Cymatics gives validity to the fact that everything that we perceive as hard objects, including our bodies, are actually continuously vibrating at their own rates. This study clearly merges the fields of sound, geometry, light and mathematics into one through the presentation of stunning images created by frequencies of all kinds found in our bodies, in nature and beyond.

I love watching how sound is made visible to our eyes. Makes you wonder what else we don’t see but is there? Hmmm…
Geometric patterns are found everywhere in nature, they are also found throughout our bodies. The chakras and meridians in our bodies are all based on sacred geometry. The higher the frequency of sound the more intricate and complex the patterns become.
